Denholm Elliott
Biography
Savaştan sonra oyunculuğa dönen Elliott, kısa sürede İngiltere'nin en üretken, çok yönlü ve saygın karakter oyuncularından biri haline geldi. Kariyeri boyunca 120'den fazla filmde rol alan aktör, genellikle iyi niyetli fakat biraz beceriksiz, dünya yorgunu veya ahlaki olarak belirsiz İngiliz centilmenlerini canlandırmasıyla tanındı ve sahne çalmada usta olarak kabul edildi.
Uluslararası alanda en geniş kitlelerce tanınmasını sağlayan rolü, "Kutsal Hazine Avcıları" (Raiders of the Lost Ark) (1981) filminde canlandırdığı müze müdürü ve Indiana Jones'un iyi kalpli dostu Dr. Marcus Brody karakteri oldu. Bu sevilen rolü, "Indiana Jones: Son Macera" (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade) (1989) filminde daha geniş ve komik bir rolle yeniden canlandırarak izleyicilerin hafızasında yer edindi.
