Biography
Atlanta'da doğup Chicago'da büyüyen West, ilk olarak 2000'lerin başında Roc-A-Fella Records için yapımcı olarak tanındı, birçok sanatçı için single'lar üretti ve "chipmunk soul" örnekleme tarzını geliştirdi. Bir rapçi olarak solo kariyer yapmayı amaçlayan West, kritik ve ticari başarı elde ettiği ilk stüdyo albümü The College Dropout'ı (2004) piyasaya sürdü. Aynı yıl daha sonra GOOD Music adlı plak şirketini kurdu.
