Mick Jagger
Biography
1962 yılında Brian Jones, Keith Richards ve Ian Stewart ile birlikte "The Rolling Stones"u kuran Jagger, grubun solisti ve öncüsü olarak sahneye çıktı. The Beatles'ın "temiz aile çocukları" imajının aksine, Stones "kötü çocuklar" ve asi rock yıldızları olarak pazarlandı. Jagger, sahnede sergilediği kışkırtıcı dans figürleri, kendine has vokal tarzı ve tükenmek bilmeyen enerjisiyle "rock grubu solisti" (frontman) kavramını yeniden tanımladı. Richards ile birlikte yazdığı "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" (1965), grubu uluslararası süperstarlar seviyesine taşıyan marş oldu. "Paint It Black", "Sympathy for the Devil", "Gimme Shelter" ve "Angie" gibi klasikler, ikilinin şarkı yazarlığındaki dehasını kanıtladı.
Jagger ve Stones, 1960'ların sonu ve 1970'lerin başında "Beggars Banquet", "Let It Bleed", "Sticky Fingers" ve "Exile on Main St." gibi albümlerle rock müziğin altın çağının en önemli eserlerini verdi. Grup, disko döneminde "Miss You" ve 1980'lerde "Start Me Up" ile müzikal evrimini sürdürerek her dönem zirvede kalmayı başardı. Jagger, grubun başarısının yanı sıra 1985 yılında "She's the Boss" albümüyle solo kariyerine de adım attı. Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, Damian Marley ve A.R. Rahman ile kurduğu "SuperHeavy" (2011) adlı süper grupla farklı türleri denedi.
Müzik kariyerinin dışında sinemaya da ilgi duyan Jagger, Nicolas Roeg'in kült filmi "Performance" (1970) ve "Ned Kelly" (1970) filmlerinde başrol oynadı. Daha sonra "Freejack" (1992), "Bent" (1997) ve "The Burnt Orange Heresy" (2019) gibi yapımlarda oyunculuk yeteneğini sergiledi. Ayrıca, James Brown'ın hayatını anlatan "Get on Up" (2014) gibi filmlerin yapımcılığını üstlendi.
